What He Sees (20:20 Vision) by VISTO / by Elisabeth Cooper

I wrote to recollect and reconstruct

from the pieces

He sees this and enables construction

from the speeches,

words and thesis

that I’m hoping

and evoking

in my spoken

and I open

doors and cabinets

windows and passages

I’ve been told

His lavishes

restore the savages wrecked by the ravages

and rest on the bandages

revealing the healing that comes from

His hands again

where puncture and pierce

unveiled His fierce passion

to see through on the other side

of affliction to John 20:20 vision

where His disciples bear witness

the imprint now stamped by victory

Enacting a symphony of praises that

Exist beyond stages when light is prevailing

Over all that darkness had been wailing

So His hands can bring back

all that’s been broken

Whether by sticks and stones

Or words thrown in the batter

He kneads it all down

Revealing the profound matter of truth

Displacing the lies

Restating our sighs to

Once again see

What He sees
